    Hi ppl

I've got a sun coral which i'm willing to donate to someone who's willing (and know how) to take care of it.

The coral was my first coral i've ever bought. It's been surviving but is definitely not thriving.

Willing to deliver if i'm allowed to look at your tank :p (local only.... obviously)

Munky 82, what do you mean by "not thriving...?"

Can you post a pic of it. Not that I will want it - you a bit far, and Slummies already will take it, but I'd like to just see a photo of it when closed and when open, as I would like to help Slummies with a few pointers on it to THRIVE, and not survive...
    ;)

Here's some pics i took just now. Like you can see the coral has been slowly starving over that past two years. Some heads have died. (mostly from moving to my current tank). Several new small heads had appeared. The coral has been in this condition for about a year now. I haven't seen any heads die or anything recently but they're definitely not getting bigger.

Used to feed it by covering it with a half-cut plastic bottle with a cube of frozen mysis. It worked to some degree but once i remove the bottle the fish will steal almost all the food out of the heads. What worked better was placing the coral in a container and snowing it with grated shrimp. Both methods' quite tedious. Haven't target fed it for a while.
And Zayd, it's still alive but require nursing. That is why I'm looking for a new home for it.

    Thanks Steve.

Munky83, no offence intended, but just wanted to bring to your attention that it is not "surviving". I also went thru this and we all learn from our experiences of LFS selling us stuff with special needs.

np zayd. What I meant by surviving is that it's condition (althought pretty dire), has not visibly deteriored over the past few weeks.
