Guys, I visited a buddy of mine and he showed me what he is planning to supply to interested LFS´s. I was so imprest with the quality, I had to take some pictures to show you guys what´s coming into the shops. All these gadgets are extremly solid and I think very neat and useful. Sure, these are not completely new gadgets, but at least from very good quality and locally made. Local is "lekker"!

    Here it goes:

The universal bracket for keeping probe holder, float switch or airlines in place.
The good thing is, it is extremely solid and can be mounted on the glass or the bracing.

The float switch holder which gets mounted to the universal bracket

The float switch holder, which is adjustable in height.

    The probe holder

The airline fixation bracket, which will come with grubscrews to secure the airline. Useful for airlines from dosing pumps.

Float switch mounted on side or divider.

Damn this looks neat and I'd support a local "craftsman" for such products anytime! Any idea of pricing on the float switch setup?

    The probe holder complete

The airline fixation complete. The grubscrews are missing, but will be come with the set. The white plastic screws will be smaller, otherwise the grubscrews left and right won´t fit in.

What do you guys think about these products? Isn´t it much more stylish and solid then the black plastic brackets we know?

It is not that easy to impress a German with quality, but these products are made from thick acrylic and they are not flubby at all. I am really imprest with his products. Should I get sole rights? LOL
My post was meant as a product preview as I think these are top noche.
When it comes to sales, shouldn't we get our sponsors on board?
On interest from our sponsors I will forward his contact details to them, but sponsors only. The rest of the other LFS must get his details from himself after the product is established in the market. Would be a good oportunity for our sponsors to become a well known supplier for these products.

Dean, in case you read this, would it be okay if I send the suppliers details to our sponsors? Please advise.
Firstly I would say, let's see the response from other reefers and I will check about availability and pricing.

This is neat, and should sell. Only factor would be pricing. Person making them obviously wants something out of his time and trouble. And LFS must put their markup. So let us hold thumbs.

And I can understand why you as a German is impressed.

Yes of course, you don't need my permission to do this. It's up to them if they want to stock the product or not, it's got nothing to do with us. :)

I think it is more like someone had come across a lot of acrylic and was seriously bored, most good idea come out that way...well thought out and engineered ideas rarely turn out looking as neat as this. Unless you are a perfectionist.

Believe me, that guy who made these nice gadgets are far away from bored. He is very passionate and a perfectionist. And everything is German, his car, his kitchen appliances, his tank equipment as well. No wonder. ;)

That is neat though, he sounds to be the type pf person we need within MASA. It helps to have a keen eye for accuracy and not just slap dash things together, going back to old school where people made things good and proper the first time around and it was all done with pride.

Far too many people are trying to rush into and make the cheapest "slap gat" stuff, how many people do you know who still have a passion for really well done carpentry as is used to be? Mass produced machine built seems to be the trend, home made but high quality is almost a thing of the past.

Tell him I say congratulations and well done for the time and effort, this sort of work isn't something to dismiss.
