    Hi

I found this shrimp hiding amongst some mussels on the rocks just south of Durban. I can't seem to find it in any book.

It is about 3.5cm long and looks a lot darker in real life, almost black.

You need to copy and paste the link from the pic and edit your post and put in the new link, or use the Insert link under the reply box. The old link is longer valid and has changed because you made the album public. :)

    Hey Brendon,
These are the shrimps that make a "clicking" sound in your tank.
Some species have a symbiosis with some gobies.
Honestly dont put it in your tank unless you like the sound of cracking glass all the time.. especially if some of those eggs hatch out and survive in your system.
Just a personal opinion, maybe some guys like the noise:whistling:

I also thought it was a pistol shrimp at first, but the claw is different. I had a pistol in my tank before and I don't think this is one. It does look like it in the pics with the stripes though. In real life it is much darker, almost black

It does have eggs but i doubt they will survive in my tank. No shrimp eggs have ever survived in my tank. Lol
