Local Butterfly

    Has anyone ever seen one of these or have a name,
    caught it close to Plett early Jan, very heatlhy and eating brine ext...

    At first thought it could be a threadfin, but i can't find any orange butterflies with the eye dot on back fin...

    I assume that the eye dot will disappear as he is still a juvenile.

    They're great fish. Most people keep them in fish only tanks. You see how it's swimming towards the zoas? They are what's gonna make it fat. . .that and lps. Its fav food is aiptasia. Enjoy it. . .they are truely beautiful fish that reach the peak of their splendour as adults. Probably about 2 years from now.

    V common. Third most common butterfly on the south coast after marleyiis and aurigas.
