Tube anemone should not come out of its tube, obviously it's not happy.
They can make another tube so don't stress just yet.

Seriously JodieG, how LONG was the tank "running" in the shop for before you bought it?

Have you tested your water parameters? What are they so we can help?

the tank was running for a week but the water had been cycled already for months because at the LFS they just took water out a large tank and in to my tank. how do i stop the tube anenome from floating around cause its not sunk in something

And the rock, did they take that out of the same large tank?

Where about in Sandton are you JodieG? I am also Sandton based...maybe we should test your water?

Move the tube anemone to the other side of the tank, as far away as possible from the other one. Can place the body part between rocks but do not squeeze it. It will eventually regrow a sock around it.

Maybe I missed it, but did you ever replied back and gave the tank dimension?

I am returning home from Durban with my tunze circulation pump that i got from @aquaonline and I intend hooking up to salor panels for the load shedding issues as it runs on Dc. my tank is 750l so it takes a while to cool down but I am concerned about the depleted oxygen. My tube anenome ejects his tube when the flow or lighting is too high. I have taken 10cm of PVC pipe and glued a piece of plastic on the end, lathered it in marine silicone and rolled in beach sand. I fill this with sand and plant him in it. He makes a new tube fairly quickly and then I go and adjust the flow again:(
