power went out at 10am yesterday. When load shedding finished at 2pm, it came on for 2 mins then went off again. 5pm it came on at 110v for a few minutes then off. Still powerless

Told my girlfriend for Christmas we're having a braai. Not risking something in the oven on Christmas day and then Eskom gives us a surprise present

Eish so my place got hit Friday night - Saturday afternoon... Kept the water aerated and did as much as I could but alas... Seems some opportunistic organism in my tank ate a baby torch coral that came on some live rock that I got... The tentacles were only +/- 5mm in length when fully inflated...
But invested in a Generator from Game, Stramm SMM3000 which they had marked incorrectly :) They put the price for another model which was on special on the box lol

Remember, if you have an electronic TUNZE pump, you can just add a 6105.500 Safety Connector and a small gate battery and when the power goes off, your pump keeps running .......

Do anyone have a plan of action, if/when the entire power grid collapse? I read that this is possible and if this should happen the entire country will be without power for two weeks?

    What's your thoughts on this?
