A few more rocks would be lekker to build it up a bit. Otherwise it's nice and neat. You can also start dosing probiotics like Seachem Stability, Brightwell's Microbacter and Prodibio to speed up the cycle.

    Hi Tony,

Thanks for that, I have already added Prodibio last week when I set the tank up so will continue to add as time goes on.

That stuff works like a bomb. Just turn your skimmer off for a few hours after adding it so it doesnt remove the bacteria. This should drastically speed up your cycle. Which Prodibio products are you using?

No, you're doing fine. I think you add the prodibio every ten days if I'm not mistaken. Just dont add the iodine and strontium till you have corals and livestock. The reefbooster is food for corals so you dont need it yet

    looking very good

check that you have a siphon break in the return pipe, as your sump doesnt look like it can hold a lot of extra water ..... and for some reason the missus will get grumpy with a flooded room

Tony, what livestock? The tank I bought had been running in the fish shop for around six weeks when I bought it and they set it up here with everything they had in it there, water, filter medium, LR everything, so the FS said that I could add some damsels, I have put two in and two snails and two hermit crabs as a test. So not sure if I should add any of the other prodibio products

    Hi Neil,

Could you elaborate on that a little if you dont mind, what would the siphon break stop.

If I turn all the pumps off the sump does not over flow at all.

    Hi All,

Just an update on my tank progress, have had some ups and downs which I suppose is expected but things have now come right, water parameters have now stabilised and everything going much better, here are some more pics as of today.
