    You probably forgot to change the units...cm / mm / inch & feet are different :razz:

    You typed Volume as Gallons..if I do it (Litres) I get to 990 kg.....

    I'm with Sean on this one. I also get 4500kg if i enter 9000l.

    UK gallons, both at the top (input) & bottom (LR / volume). If I change top (input) to ltr & leave bottom as "recommended" I get 990 kg.

    Not sure about the accuracy but definitely a excellent tool to give one an idea

    Yip I also got that but if you change the bottom also you get 4500kg.

    You would ..you then need to adjust amount of LR / volume accordingly. ie if 1 kg LR = 2 UK gallons convert that first to metric.

    Thus my comment, a good place to start

    Nah - this is CRAZY. According to this calculator, I would require 800kg of live rock for my total system volume. I have about 120kg's worth - and I already don't have much space left in my sump tanks.

    jacquesb, your 1500L system requires 165kg of LR - according to the calculator

    Very cool indeed,thanks for sharing. My system needs 94kg, have about 70kg at the moment, very close indeed, can easy take another 24kg.;)
