Live rock vs live rock

    Hi I would like to know what's the difference between the types of live rock eg local vs Kenyan vs fegi etc is the difference the filtration they offer

    Shape , structure and inhabitants . Filter wise is the same , depending on how porous the rocks are compared to each other.

    Some are just nicer shapes and more porous. Try to get ones that 'feels' ligther than what they should, those have the most space for bacteria to grow. Some 'live rock' is very heavy and very dense, try and avoid these. Live rock is basically coral skeletons or very old coral skeletons, not sandstone etc, so just sort of pick them up and get a feel for the porosity.
