Live Rock Orange Growth

    Hi All

    I Have been running my Jebo 450 for some while now and this Orange growth started beginning of the year..
    Now basically a full plant it looks stunning but not sure whats its ID.
    How could I propagate and would I want too, Have not seen it before...:thumbup:

    Looks like a macro algae of sorts. If you propagate please could I buy a piece

    Found out its called flame macro algae or dragons breath :p will find out how to propigate it :thumbup:

    I also have some, it does not grab onto rock have to tie or glue. Best way that work place between 2 piece of rock so the base is trapped. Elastic works but not lasting very long.

    Do you have any Fish in your tank? My Dorey mowed through anything which even looked like a plant :(

    Got a bicolour blennie and clown in the nano, then a few hermies that's about it. Used the tank mainly as a holding tank.
    Thanks Haaibek I have cut a small piece and tied it to a small piece of live rock let's see how it holds up :thumbup:

    Yeah that is awesome. Try not add any Tangs to this system in fear of this being eaten :p

    Its red macro algae for sure. Tangs and herbivores will devour it. Also note that the red colour is supported by iodine in the water. You might have to start supplementing or increase water changes over time
