Live rock noob Q

    Another irritating noob Q. :razz:

    When introducing live rock for the first time....what is the process and how do u make sure the rock isn't contaminated from the original source?

    You need to either purchase cured liverock or you have to cure it yourself.

    If it is a new tank, let it cure in the cycling process of your tank.

    How do I know if its cured or not?

    Smell it, if it smells like rotten eggs then it is not cured. Must smell like the sea.
