Hi Guys - I found what looks like filter feeder of some sort in my live rock (nocturnal). Also when you move anything near it it retracts back into the rock. It has about 5 fairly thick feelers of sorts that have fine hairs on them and the feeler type thing has a slight curl towards the end of it. I saw it in one spot of the tank and it seems to have now moved to the other side of the tank. I have a hammer coral that was pretty close to it and it has started dying on the side that faces where this inhabitant was. to me it seems like some fort of filter feeder of some sort that is growing pretty rapidly.
I have a few pics as can be seen but they are not too clear.
Any help would be much appreciated as im not sure if this is good or bad - the coral issue could be due to him falling off the rock and landing awkwardly - have since epoxied him back on - water parameters all good - Alk slightly low.

Do the feet look hard? Could it be a hairy brittle star?

The legs are thin and have fine white hairs on them and at the and of the legs it gets thinner and curls into a c shape. They may not be legs but rather feelers or tentacles- no idea. Have never seen the body. The legs or feelers curl up inside the lr and when it gets dark they slowly xome out. At firat just 2 legs and then early morning i have spotted 5
