Live Phytoplankton

    Hi guys
    I am looking for some live phytoplankton, want to start growing my own so is there a product which can be bought of the shelves or what route should I take here?

    Any advice on this would be greatly appreciated

    So I did some reading on phyto and got myself 250ml so I am going to give it a go

    If I am succesfull with the phyto I would l8ke to grow some rotifers so where in the world can I get hold of some?

    Ok I got my phyto nano and got my setup up and running.
    It has a 3ft florecent light with double globes in (cool white)

    I added a regent 9500 air pump that has a double outlet.
    Added a timer but at this stage the lights is running 24/7 will see how it goes before I run it on a 16-8 hr cycle

    Somewhere I read that someone had a crash beacuse of the phyto heating up too much beacuse of the lights so I installed a 12v fan one for getting circulation in the cabinet that I am using and one close to the bottles for cooling purposes.

    I also used the syringe method with the sponge and activated carbon to clean the air that is entering the bottles.(someone on masa included this in his thread).

    I got 250ml of phyto and split that into 2 500ml bottles and filled the bottles with saltwater (1.019) and added to that 0.5ml nitrosol plant fertiliser per bottle.

    Its been running for 2 days now and I can already see its getting darker.
