    Hi All,

the Mandarin i inherited with a tank is very very thin.
does anyone have live brine shrimp in the Fourways/Kyalami area?

i want to try everything i can to save this fellow.
sadly my gut tell me he is past it, i doubt he will take food.

any assistance will be greatly appreciated!

Brine shrimp is most nutritious in the first day after hatching. They hatch in 24 hours, so hatching your own would be best. Most pet stores sell eggs. Good luck.

The mandarin is also more likely to eat newly hatched brine shrimp

Most LFS sell eggs. Instructions to hatch them are on the packet.

How's this mandarin doing? Also, do you run a sump on this system? if so, and the mandarin is still going then perhaps get some chaeto from someone and let it tumble in the sump, chaeto carry loads of pods and some will wash into display. Mandarin are very picky, so perhaps also see if you can start getting him to eat frozen bloodworms or brine shrimp.
