Little White Things?

After being away for a week, I've come back to these little white things all over the tank. Please can someone identify what this is.

They look like pineapple sponges but hard to tell 100% from the pics. Good to have if they are. Maybe Google a pic of them and if they are the same?

Thanks! That's what it seems to be.
Should I leave them or brush them away....there are quite a few of them which is rather unsightly.

You can brush them off it you want. I would leave them though as they are beneficial in helping filter tank water and they stay small. Choice is yours though
