little aliens

    can't for the life of me find out what this is... there are literally hundreds of them floating around, and at times i see them swimming, with little pulses like a jellyfish but really quickly...:wtf:

    shiya will know i am sure, but those look really weird, yet quite fun. i'll tag this to see what it is :)

    danimal as far as I know , anemone correct me if I'm wrong please, they are actually good guys depending on what inmates you have. The are related to anemones and corals, eat minute crustaceans etc. Thus if you have inmates dependent on lets say pods (like mandarin) they could wipe out the population

    To my knowledge they are only harmful to seahorses.

    interesting. my tank is still young, only have 2 clowns and some hermits and snails. want to try get a peppermint shrimp and a blenny sometime soon but not in a hurry. thanks for the input :)

    Seahorses are extremely slow swimmers, hydroids can easily catch and sting them. Its like an anemone vs. your favorite SPS.

    Cool thanks Anemone :thumbup: Didnt know they also possed stinging cells like jelly's...does make sense though as they are related.

    One's never to old to learn ;)
