Lion fish in refugium

    Hi all

    I am planning on getting a +_ 200l refegium and set it up as a second display tank.
    can i put a pair of lion fish in the refeg. and share tha same water with the rest of my tank...

    NO. They will outgrow it quickly and it's a bit harsh to expect big fish to live in such a small environment

    What are the dimensions of the refugium? It might be too small for 1

    not sure yet have to bussy rebuilding my tank frame to lift the tank to eye level, then to see how much space i have to work with, should be around 800 X 800 X mabe 1m
    dont know yet.

    Too small in my opinion...unless you go for 1 dwarf species

    Maybe a dwarf lion would work but the normal Volitan Lionfish would get to big.

    800 X 800 X mabe 1m gives you almost 600L. and you said 200L in your first post.

    sorry ment min of 200 l if i have the space i will add as much water as possible

    I think only a dwarf might be ok, a volitans will get way too big.

    A dwarf will be perfect there. I saw a nice one at VIP in Northgate
