hi guys ive seen halogen globes of capacity 150w , 250w , 300w , 500w

they are thin tubes of about 7cm / 8cm, could these be used in your tanks, i have a pic of it but not clear,it could give you and idea of what im speaking of...

im also looking for the below displayed LED's , they are clear and give of either blue, white,red,yellow or green light and they are 5mm in thickness, where could i get these in durban?

mind the thumb and index finger .... :razz: :lol:

The kelvin rating is too low which will make your water look yellow. Your corals will grow like mad but the water will look like pee

:( so guess i would rather go with the t5 lighting
any idea where i could get the LEDs from...

Go to a web site caled "tytan.co.za". They sell all sorts of led lighting including LED fluorescents

so would i be right in saying that this halogen type of globes are for the flood lighting units?

nope i didnt as the prices are on site with the product range
andreas did you not come across any place that sells
these LED's
