Id say 4x55W or 4x39W t5's. Get 2x 10k white and 2x actinic blue bulbs

54W will be too long. 39W will be fine.

Ya for that size tank 39w's are the perfect length and for what u want to keep 4 will be ample.

I am not a fan of actinics myself, they are nice for adding something extra, but if you only have 4 tubes to play with I would go 2x white and 2x blue. Preferably Geisemann, but definately stay away from Reefteks...not the best quality out there.

reefteks arent that bad. If you looking for cheaper bulbs, you can do worse than reefteks. I agree they nowhere near as good as geimann or ati but they do an alright job. I had reefteks for ages and they worked fine.

    39w reefteks are about R120
geismanns start around R220 for the middday, the actinics are more expensive

Dont forget the ballasts which power the tubes. They are around the R200 mark for a dual set which can run two bulbs

Doesnt make sense putting 90cm(39w) on a 60cm long tank. Use a 60cm(24w) instead. 4 would be fine and be prepaired to pay for the Giesemann or ATI. I use the Syllvania, nice bulbs comes in 10k and 20k.

    +1.

I got a cube similar to that size and 24w are a perfect fit. Sometime back i was told that 6 24w would be nice but since you not going for to hectic stuffs 4 is fine. i think :)

They do work fine, but their colours are very dull from my experience. I just feel that AM/Sylivinia's, ATI or Geisemann are a better option, with AM/Sylvinia not even being that more pricey than the Reefteks.

Like I said I just prefer blues over actinics myself...there is always the debate that actinics do more for coral colour and growth, while others will say that it doesnt do anything for growth and only brings out colours more in certain corals. But not being an expert on that sort of thing I wont debate that myself.

I guess you could always go 1xblue, 1x actinic, 2x white. White obviously being the most important for growth thus 2.
