I have a quad T5 54 watt light on my 4ft tank and there are 3 whites and one blue lamp, my corals and ricordia are find and healthy, my parameters are fine, i introduced 1 watermelon mushroom a month or so ago and he kept floating around i secured him to a small piece of rock and he was doing fine for a week, woke up one morning and truese nuts GONE :(
After a couple of days he appeared but half the size, resecured him away from heavy flow and on the bottom and he just got smaller and smaller and i just can't fathom it out. Really peed off any advice guys

Shrooms like nutrient rich water, more than likely it needed food, i dont think lighting was the issue, tank size? No3 reading?

they do prefer no3 around 2-5ppm, but that fact that it didnt attach could could be the reason for its demise, its probably sulking, place it in a small container with some LR rubble and some netting over and leave in a low flow area for a day or 2

Same here, i have shrooms growing in places with little to no light, just the little light reflecting from the sand.

What seems crazy is the shrooms on the left of my tank seem to multiply more than the shrooms on the right of my tank. I know my right side is painted black, might be that of maybe even flow...

My red mushrooms handle little light, blues like medium and watermelons seem to thrive in high light. Green hairy mushrooms seem to turn brown under higher light and more green under lower light but do not handle little light like the Reds.
