H I have a standard 4ft DT and at the moment I have a commercially produced 2xt5 fitting that clamps onto the rim of the tank I am looking at making um a hood for 8-10 tubes as I want to start getting some corals.

The problem is I am renting at the moment and cant mount it to the wall or ceiling so it will have to sit on the tank/stand and still be able to lift it for maintaining the tank without help as I live alone any suggestions?

Top front part. Let if flip backwards and lie onto the other half. Opening almost like a piano. And wire the lights so that the front ones is independently wired from the back ones. That you can switch them off when you work on the tank so they do not shine into your eyes.
