Hi, I would appreciate some input on LEDs to use on a 3 ft tank (Length 90cm height 45 cm breadth 32 cm). I am considering keeping a few softies and maybe later some LPS.

I have looked at what is available and was wondering which of the following would be appropriate?

1) Pharos 90 watt unit

2) Zetlight ZA1201 (2 units)

3) Zetlight ZT6500

I realize some of the units may not cover the whole length of the tank, but I will be centering the rockwork so covering the full length would not be needed. Any and all advice would be greatly appreciated.

I have this one and am very happy with it. It is very easy to control, just set it up initially and forget it, it automatically dims and brightens for dawn and dusk, follows the lunar cycle and adjusts the intensity of the moonlights accordingly. It has a quiet cooling fan on top that switches on and off automatically when needed. I can't comment on the zetlights as I've never owned one.

Hi Guys, thank you for the advice/recommendations, much appreciated.

@madgas thanks for the article recommendation, I took a look and it seems very interesting and probably not difficult to implement, unfortunately at the moment my living space is not appropriate to setup a DIY system as would be needed, but it is definitely something I am going to keep in mind for later if I setup a small quarantine tank.

Thanks again
