    Hi Friends

I have 2 400W MH to put on my tank, When I bought them they came with Veture "designer blue" bulbs, not rated but recommended by Hennie, unfortunately 1 of the bulbs the outer shield has broken, so I need to replace it/them?

What should I get? Thinking of BLV's but worried about the colour..... the 20 000K are quite cheap and I'm thinking they might burn with the colour equivilent to say 14-16 000K ? Is there anyone who runs 20 000K BLV that could advise?

    Depending on the final colour, perhaps 2 or 4 10 54w T5s?

Justin, have you checked up with Leigh (Reef Inmates) for the 14K 400W?

Hi Justin - somewhere in my tank's thread I have a pic of my tank with 2 x 14000K BLV's, and one 20000K BLV (all of them 150 watt's).... I will try and find the pic.

Thanks Jacques, but don't think it will give me a true reflection of the colour as its mixed 14 and 20K?

Don't laugh Alan but its only 550mm, yes I know its an overkill, but got them for a song and it would cost alot more to convert to 250W?

It works out to about 2W per litre
