I have a damsel that I started with 9 months ago, prior he was in someone else tank for a year, prior to that in the wild. I was just thinking that he could be pretty old for a damsel, what is the average lifespan for livestock.

I would of thought shrimps would not be that long, fish maybe 3 years, how long have you had your oldist fish, and did you have it as a pup?

My sailfin tang and a pair of clarki clowns have been with me for 10 years now.
They weren`t babies when i got them either and they are still half adult size so hopefully another 10 years to go at least.

Ive had a pair of B green chromis and a coral beauty for four years now and they are still going strong. I know cleaner shrimp will last for about two to three years

AFAIK, HIPPOCAMPUS (seahorse) live for about 2-3 years, depending on spieces... but not 100% sure.

Also saw the stats on nemmies, I think only 2% or something have been sucessfully kept past two years or something, I did not believe that, but not good imo.
