like the dog licence law that is still in place but never enforced? I think this is a good idea but difficult to put into practise.

Very interesting points indeed. It all boils down to being a resposible human being. Then people making money out of shows like Tanked, should also be lisenced. And people having babies, should have a lisence before having sex. Look at all the abandoned babies and children being neglected.

Well the best way to enforce it is, u have to show your licence when purchasing Stock :) And the Spca should supply Licences so the money they make can support the poor discarded animals

Because is the SPCA didnt take hold of the income the Governmend would.. And Zuma would be getting a nice new car.... So rather Help the Poor animals and in the same turn making people think twice about fish keeping :)

I use to donate food balnkets and funds to the local SPCA, the first time i brought them an abandonded litter of kittens they turned me away. I now only support private animal welfare organisations.
Perhaps the licence would be best if they just expanded the current local collection licence. and the moneis went to DAAF

Thats only because they cant afford to take animals in.. just like you couldnt afford to keep all the kittens.. But either way.. anything is better than supporting the Zuma Foundation... Im all up for Fish licences.. Atleast give somthing back somwhere to help

Xereo sounds like you quite passionate about this and perhaps im reading your comments in the wrong light
If your so pro helping the SPCA... get involved in some fund rasing for your local SPCA.

Dude i gave enough food and money every month to the spca, the one time i find some cats in a eld somewhere they turn me away. I rehomed the cats myself.
desipite not have the facilities to take care of cats and the fact that they give me cronic sinus....

I now give my donations to PRIVATE organisations and ANIMAL resque.

    I do!

lol Butcher.. Im not saying only you or me must give back.. im saying everyone keeping animals should hold a licence.. then there wont be an excuse to turn you away :) Imagine just 50% of animal or fish owners paid for a licence.. there would be plenty of money for research, better Facilities and animal shelters.. I love my animals.. thats why i have to many of them :)
