most probably only amphipods or isopods ... I have had isopods on the glass before

some isopods are parasitic but I havent heard of any problems from the ones we usually get from live rock ... usually they are just good scavangers

They are good. You dont want them to disapear. They eat alge and ditrius and act as a foodsouce for many of our fish. Its a good sign, be patient and enjoy!

OOOOh. Lice maybe some head and shoulders will clear it up.:p

On a serious note, I would guess copepods. They are tiny little crustaceans that come in on the LR (live rock) It is just part of the little ecosystem you have in your tank. If they really bother you get a sixline wrass to gobble them up.

What you see is their max size. That is the grown ups running around looking for some nookie.

Once you add fish, the numbers in display will go down. Mostly active at night to prevent predation. In sump, or between cheato they will multiply like mad.
