I'm not a non return valve fan, they always fail at some time or another but yes they not nesessary, looking into the SCWD story. Will finalise the group buy next week. I have 13 buyer so we need to take 12 for a good price. I deffinatley want to add two to the system.

What a day, plumbing plumbing and more plumbing..

I've cut and set all the closed loop intakes and overflow, then I decided to break out some equipment I have lying around so I've upgraded my filtration a little, new additions include:

Jns CO5 Protein Skimmer
JNS alpha 2E bio pulled reactor to run K1 media in, and a fluidised bed filter to run some sand in, I'll get some mature sand from a fellow reefer when I'm ready and add it in here to FastTrack the cycle.

Small update nothing major,.

Entrance side sump is being sized up and will have the compartments added soon, this will mainly comprise of an atu reservoir, heater chamber and a return chamber.

I fitted the cladding to the overflow.

And started drilling some holes for frag plugs into the non closed loop pipes.

Also managed to procure a KS150 for a steal of a deal so decided to incorporate it into the system.

meh, ive put it on hold been busy with starting a new buisness and running another, so not going to fill her up soon, im still buying stuff as and when i see a bargain, ive received 2 x Orphek iCons and i now have 2 x Mantis 10000, 1 x Mantis 6000 and 1 x Mantis 4000 pumps for the flow.

fishing season has been keeping me busy and were busy getting stuck into the garrick and videoing.
