    Hi

    I recenetly bought a LED kit, 20 LED's (10 royal blue 10 15000K Whites)

I soldered all the wires etc last night - but my leds are flashing....??

    What did I do wrong?

My driver are rated 10-18 3w led - and I am running 10 leds....could it be that I have too little led's on them?

    Any advice would be appreciated...

    Thanks

What do you mean by flashing? Physically turning on and off or are they just displaying a random white/blue pattern on the inside of the tank?

    Hi.

What drivers are you using? most PWM drivers range only start at 15%, so any power less than 15% and they will flash

If your driver is dimmable then you will need dimmable LED's. If lamps are not spec'd for dimmable then they will flash.

    Hi. The driver's are non-dimmable.....

    Spec on driver:

    Input: AC85-265V 50/60Hz
    Output: DC36-75V 650mA +- 15%
    TC: 75deg C TA 50deg C (MAX)

Running 3w leds....do you think I have to add more to the chain? Oh, i connected them up in series, is that correct?

HI. Model No. JNY-L3060W-B (its a golden annodized colour - sealed unit.

    As for wiring diagram - 10 LED's connect in series.....so + side to - side.....long chain.....connect to to driver.

The input side only has Neutral and life....so that is connected to a normal wall plug.....

    The driver states for 10 - 18 3w leds.....I run 10.

Somthing i noticed now....the driver states 680mA and the LED's are 700mA.....can this be the problem?

Sounds like a lose connection or + maybe touching - somewhere, have a good look at your soldering maybe?

no its fine, when running the led's and they are flashing measure the voltage on the + and - outputs from the driver. what do you get and is it constant?

Update: found the problem, seems I had to add more led's per driver.....increased to 15.....and they stopped flashing! :) The was also the recomendation from supplier....

This is great as now I can add other 10 Led's to my tank!
