What percentage do you run your LED lights at? How long did it take you to ramp up to that percentage and what brand LED unit are you running?

Firstly... Can you perhaps give a little background for why you asking the question...
    What led you using?
What wattage is the led unit rated at?
    What tank size?
    What corals you keeping?
Whats your future plans regarding corals?
    Water depth?
    Led height from water level?
    etc
Asking @ what percentage you run your leds is like asking if reef tanks owned by blue bulls fans look better than Stormer fans... LOL.:tt2:

    In my pico system:
    Maxspect razor Nano 60W unit.
Tank size is 400mm long, 220 wide & 250mm deep.
Light is mounted at+-240mm from water level
    Light cycle: (approx)
    22:00 to 06:00 - 0%blue 0% white
    from 06:00-09:00 it ramps up
    09:00 - 25% white 35% blue
    11:00 - 35% white 60% blue
    15:00 - 35% white 55% blue
After 15:00 it ramps down till 22:00 when it shuts down.

I'm keeping a mixed reef with mostly zoas & palys, but also LPS's, & will have some SPS soon...

@Visser ok my question or my reasoning behind my question was not put out. I just wanted to astablish if anyone ever runs there leds at 100% strength.

    I run3 x Gen I pharos lights 90watt per unit
    My tank is 1.5 x 0.7 x 0.6
Lights are 300mm above water line
I keep a mixed reef of sps lps and softies
My max output is between 10am too 4pm at 85% blue and 65% white

And lastly ofcourse Stormers supporters tanks look better than Blue Bulls supporters tanks. Judging by there rugby jerseys being cammo there tanks are also probably all green.

Also timing is tough- id rather have the lights on when I come home from work to watch than during the day when no one is around- what time schedules do you guys have?

Nope a stormers tank looks better at this stage than a bulls or sharks supporter's because we dont have any rugby at the moment. So there is lots of time to work on our tanks Visser. Lol

I ran a poll in the UK about this for the Vertex Illumina. This may not apply/transfer well to other lighting fixtures, as they are not created equal by any means. Most run their Illumina around 90% both blues and white 40-60%, with a few exceptions, of course. What I found very interesting is the general aesthetic to bluer lighting. I've run test tanks with 100% both blues and 20% white with excellent results. The trick is, as always, to accustom the corals slowly to the spectrum.
