    I have been looking around at LED options for my 1.26m tank.

    I currently have 2 x vertex 900mm MIB but I want something controllable.

    *I have looked at the zetlight qmaven 6600 which covers a maximum of 1.2m tank.

    *Have also looked at 2 x pharos 90w units. I have seen it on a 1.2m tank and it looks quite cool.

    What are your opinions?

    Consider I don't want t5 or MH units due to long term coats on bulbs and electricity.

    Also if I'm buying new I don't want to spend over R6000.

    Look at razor 160watt 16000K with lense upgrades on the side clusters of the unit. @bryan from jungle aquatics can help you. Otherwise look at the intellisun units from @Andre@ReefAquatics

    I don't think the maxspect give good cover on that size...Two pharos units also work. .I'm using two intellisun units on my 1.2m. .gives good coverage

    The maxspect with lense upgrades covers a 1.2m tank on its tank mounts without even raising it with hanging kit

    Does the lense upgrade affect the depth that the light can penetrate?

    My tank height is around 68cm with water level at 62cm.

    Anyone here used qmaven 6600?

    @Andre@ReefAquatics

    What's better between the Pharos 90w and the Intellisun 90w units.

    Are both controllable? Dawn dusk settings?

    Which one has better coverage and spectrum?

    @Ebi Omer

    Both the Pharos and IntelliSun are more than capable of giving SPS corals what they need to thrive.

    Both units come this their own advantages which I will briefly list below:

    IntelliSun 90W:

    Great spectrum and great control, 40W multichip in the center with 3W led clusters around, new spectrum units in store. 1 controller controls many units, with 3 Channel Control, Aquaspecial, Blue+, Purple+, cloudy, noon and lunar functions on the controller.
    One 90W unit covers a 60x60 area
    Hanging Mount

    Pharos 90W:

    5 Color Cree Chips, WW, CW, TUV, RB , B for the full spectrum. Interchangeable lenses, wireless controlled with 1 controller, cloud simulation, ambient light comp, B&W ratio, Lunar, moonlight settings, full custom control.
    one 90W unit will cover 60x60 area
    Tank mount + suspension

    I have the Zetlight 6600 on a 1 meter RSM 250. Love it. Very bright, extremely easy to control, looks good, comes with mounts and hanging kit. Can cover 1.2 according to spec but I doubt you'll be growing sps at the lateral edges of your 1.2. Lots of blue and white (and red, and green) to mix around for that customizable colour you want. Very bright.

    Waterboy has it over a 1.5 with corals only on a center island.

    @Ridwaan have you seen them on a tank as yet?

    I was leaning more towards the pharos units as I don't want to have my tank a little dim at the edges.

    Yes ive seen them on a tank and that tank looks nice.also has good growth on all sps..
    When i choose lighting i use enough units to cover my aquascape as i dont want to light up the glass of the tank and then i end up cleaning the glass more often..
