    Hi Masa
I'm looking at definatley going led for my lighting
My tank dimensions are 1000 x 500 x 500. I will be keeping some sps and other corals
My question is how many led chips do I need for a happy tank ?

Yes if you want your corals colors to pop. The uv leds are like actinic bulbs.

@Toxic it means it brings out the color of the corals more so that they seem brighter or that is how i understand it.

Haha you will pick up what everything means. It took me a while to learn what all the abbreviations meant.

LED lights make your colours of the corals really come out compared to other types of lighting. hence the word pop.

I have 2 brand new 192w Dimmable LED units for sale in the Hardware for sale section!
1 would be perfect for this tank if its gonna be SPS dominated.
    Only R4500;)

Already bought the leds and drivers paid R 800 for everything. Only problem is the drivers are not dimmable but will order a decent drver over the weekend.
What material can I use for the housing of the leds ? Was thinking perspex but only comes in big sheets ,any ideas
