Hi guys and girls,

So after the last advice I got from the forum, I decided to do some more research regarding LEDs. I found 2 units that I think might be a good choice, but I would like some opinions from the professionals :)

As I am new to the hobby, I don't plan to keep any SPS corals any time soon.

The units that I found and are interrsted in:
- Pharos 90W Full Spectrum Cree Wireless
- Zetlight Gostson ZG5200 SPS

Which of the units will be the best?

My tank dimensions: 60 cm (L) x 35 cm (W) x 42 cm (H)

Any additional advice or recommendations will be appreciated :)

Thanks in advance:)

Thanks guys.

@NO3 - which model are you using?

@waterboy - do you mind clarifying? I'll look into the zt6500.

Thanks again.

i am using the prime, on a nano 500x500 x600. the unit is tiny and its build quality is amazing. you control and set the light up via your cell phone and can change the settings from anywhere once connected.

Hi @Tafelsout,

Without being biased, this is what we recommend to our customers when in doubt choosing between LEDS,
MAKE A CHECK LIST OF AT LEAST 5 ADVANTAGES (BUT NOT LIMITED TOO) AND COMPARE WHAT UNIT/BRAND ticks most of the boxes.

I will start and help you but in no specific order, this is up to you.

1) Chips used, eg CREE or bridgelux or Epistar
2) Coverage
3) Spectrum
4) Price
5) Support - what happens when 1 LED dies in a 2 years time? Is the unit modular, will the supplier be able to help out with spares or tell you to buy another unit ?

list list can go on, but I hope I'm helping you a bit in your decision.
