Our light bars have been very well recieved, and we have placed our second order as we have neared the end of our first batch.

The tank pictured has a single 60cm light bar over it!
    Tank size is: 760 x 500 x 700
Light is simple plug and play, I would recommend using it with a timer.

Do you have any examples of these lights on a bigger tank?

Where can these be purchased and pricing? Would 2 work on a 4 foot tank? Are these lights just for the look or would you get any coral growth from them? Thanks

    Hi Sven

These lights are an affordable safe option to some of the scary dangerous attempts to DIY ive seen out there, (not everyone is DIY savy) we have spoken to the manufacturer in depth and had these lights made for reef tanks including the correct spectral output.

These are a black box light bar ( our name for them) and are pretty comprehensive in their lighting for the pricepoint. they are sealed units which are purposley encased in aluminium, the aluminium allowes better passive cooling as the body acts as a heat sink.

Will they grow coral? the short answer is yes,

We offer them to replace or compliment existing lighting on your system, so if you have a radion for eg and its shaddowing on the edges adding one or 2 will help to reach the corners of your system suffieciently.

i wil find and post the specs of the lights here for further better understanding.

    thank you for your enquiry!

    Les

    How wide are they?
Can i put one or two in my ATI t5 unit along side my t5's without too much butchering of the unit?

Will that not overheat the LEDs?

Here is a picture of the mounting bracket, it caould be drilled and a nut and bold be inserted to secure it into an existing unit

    full.jpg

They are also very sleek units measuring 30mm x 30mm and the lengthe required (55cm, 90cm and 1200cm)

They will fit width and height, but length is an issue. 54w T5 is a bit less than 1200, so id have to go with the 90mm

we only brought the 55cm and the 85cm units in this time but we have a full compliment of all sizes coming in on the next order which has already been placed due to the popularity of this unit!

i think these are a great option for all aquarists wanting that little extra punch in lighting for their systems!
