Does anyone have more info wrt these type of lights, eg, can it be used for a tank, etc etc: - yes I know it has a day night switch but it can be removed

The panel only provides 10watt. And they run normally from a standard 7Ah 12V battery, same as in some gate motors and house alarms.

You get others, with 4 individual LED lights, and with a point to charge your cellphone. Great for shacks and low cost houses, farms and outhouses that do not have power, or are too far away to be cheaply connected up.

But I'm using a similar setup for emergency power on my tank. But instead of lights I drive a 12V bilge pump, delivering 500gallon per hour. 1900 L/h. More than enough to run my as a return pump for 5 hours. But it do have dual batteries fitted. If you want more information, I can refer you to the company. But you must first find a boat bilge pump for 1.9amp or less.

As a light source, no. These units are useless on your tank. Actually not. You can mount one LED light so that you can stumble in darkness towards the small light by your tank to confirm is your siphon break did work.... :)

Doesnt look bad sean you wanna use this just to light up the JOJO tank at night instead of using a torch i suppose. Looks like a serious piece of equipment for that and should work lekka.

Cannot see it not working, algae growth get started in the main display when tubes colour changes and the sump gets fitted with 6500k energy savers for this reason cannot see it not working for this same reason. And you dont need electricity for it either "bonus".

On/off mode switch on main floodlight body. 108 super bright LED's providing approx. 150 watts of light. Integral high capacity 12 volt 4.5 Amp/Hour sealed lead acid rechargeable battery (replaceable). Battery included and is pre-installed inside fixture. Easy to install almost anywhere. Should provide illumination of an area up to approx. 12m x 12m and possibly beyond to the extent of a 150 watt light fixture. Operates up to 10 hours, or more, during darkness in ideal conditions.

Different ones, Sunbather 28, Sentry 108 Solar,Solar Fairy lights and Detector 54 Solar security light. On their leaflet next to me (I took it out of one of the boxes on display....lol)

Well, if it does not work- I'll use it for outside lights- replacing them old 5ft fluorescents rusting under the roof overhang

IMO, a waste of money for the marine game.

Mmmm, quite optomistic aren't they.... A 15W CFL pushes out like 1100lm, can't even imagine how this would light up 200m².

Builders warehouse got another version, with 4 smaller led downlighters.
Price, cannot remember. But it is a single battery system. Might be a 8w panel as well. Saw them on Saturday morning. Before the rugby.

But better to light up outside wendy houses etc...

And if you do use only one led at a time, then it last 4 times longer.
