Leather coral

I just got a leather coral .
Due to the fact that my nano reef looks a bit bare, my clowns don't have anything to host and anemones are difficult to keep I decided to buy a sarcophyton leather coral.
He seems a bit closed up at the moment, but I hope that he will open up soon and that my clowns will host him. he is placed near to the surface and he has medium water flow, is this good for this species of coral?. Also all the little pods have take up residence on the new coral, should I worry about this? because he hasn't opened up at all except for the fact that he opened just a little after coming out the bag.

sarco's are generally simple corals to look after, as long as it has reasonable flow round it, it will shed occasionally to clean up, so don't be too worried when it gets "snotty".

yeah, also got one not to long ago. it got snotty in the first week and took between 2-2 weeks to open up again. and now he is very happy.

Pink Leather Coral

All the leather corals I have seen up to now has been brown/yellow, find a picture of a pink sarcophyton on this site
