Had to google that, never heard it called that before, lol. I haven't come across any stories of those two pairing up. No personal experience with that though.

No dont think they will pair with a pistol shrimp. I have a glider and a Lagoon shrimp goby in my tank and only the Lagoon paired up with the pistol shrimp and the glider does not come close to the pistol shrimp. The Lagoon goby does not even chase him if he comes to close to the burrow shifting sand

Thanks guys. Can a ladder glider be kept with another goby, like a yellow watchman? Will they get along?

They're a burrowing goby, but don't associate with shrimp. Probably ok with other gobies if the size is similar. Problem is that most Valenciennea get huge compared to other gobies.

    what size tank?

Too small tank, and with size difference, with bigger glider , the glider will take on a smaller watchman goby.
