    Hi Everyone!

I really need help, I bought a Koran Angel last week Thursday and he has not eaten since. I have tried feeding Mysis Shrimp, variety of Marine Flake foods, fresh Mussel from the sea and a frozen mix and he still does not eat.

What do think is the problem or what can you recommend I try feed him.

He hides most of the day and night under the live rock in one spot and comes out every now and then.

Any help or advice will be appreciated.

    Thanks
    Barry.

Thanks for all the replies guys appreciate it, I will see if our local pet shop has what you have all mentioned and if they have I will give them a try and I have tried the garlic and he still does not eat.

He is a juvenile about 3.5cm

I should have maybe mentioned this in the start of this thread that I do have a Majestic Angel in the tank as well before I bought him. I have not seen them fight, only flare there fins up at each other and then swim away from each other, but nothing serious. Majestic is the same size as the Koran.

    Could this be the problem?

I personally, have had great success with new era grazers. All my hard to keep angels have taken to the food. Angels are constant grazers, almost like tangs, except they like zooanthids, certain species of LPS, like brains and most love sponges and algae. It's always best to introduce older specimens to more mature systems so that they can take advantage of the food available. I also found that, seachem entice is a far better option for trying to get them to feed, the banana "smell" really gets picky eaters to start feeding.

I got Cyclops from the pet shop just now and fed that, I could not see if he ate, but was a lot more active when he smelt the food, so will feed again tonight and see what happens.

Thanks for all the help guys.

Yup they love the smell of cyclops eeze...perhaps trying to get a piece of rock with some algae on it might get it to nibble...

Also try some reef paste on the glass ?? or on a piece of rock where he hangs around ...also perhaps a spirulina tab stuck on the glass...
