    Wanted to know i can expect around the area at that time of the year?

    PS. i will have the needed permit and will take along a battery air pump and cooler box.

    You can expect VERY little. There are still some Stethojulis wrasse around and the odd Marleyi butterflyfish - but apart from that - only CUC worthy inverts....

    @richardmatlock
    When i was there in March there was lots of snails on the beach. Didn take any coz they were on a dead jelly fish, so i thought they might be carnivores.
    What CUC is available there? Is it best to look in rock pools? will it be worth while going collecting?
    @Ayoob
    I always share :) if there lekker stuff ill let you know.

    Theses are Bullia rhodostoma and Bullia digitalis snails (plow-shear snails) and are not suitable for a marine tank.

    Rock-pools are your best bet - there are plenty of small starfish, glass shrimps, hermit crabs and molluscs (you need to know what to look for - best is to buy a copy of 2 Oceans or spend some quality time reading the threads on this or other SA forums).

    The law says that you may not share - collection of anything living is for personal use only!

    Verrrry bleak there at that time of year. Don't think I'd ever bother getting a fish permit.
