    Hi guys,

Does anyone out there have any comments about using Kent Purple Tech for stimulating colline algae growth.

I'm always sceptical about using additives.

    Thanx

    Dan.

    Hi 8inch.
There are lots of products on the market costing you $$$. If you want to accelerate Coraline Algae growth, keep your water parameters :
    Ca : 380 -420
    Alk : 6.5-8.5 DKH
    MG : 1350
    Po4 : <0.01
What I found to work for me is plain kalkwasser, dosed using the slurry method. For eg. My tank is about 3 weeks old, and I already have Coraline spots appearing on my glass.
