keeping more than 1 dwarf angel?

    hi guys, quick question...
    can you keep 2 pigmy angels of different species in 1 tank?
    or will they fight??

    furbz you can definatley keep a number of dwarf angels, i had a few in my tank....but the size of a tank is of primary concern, two small and they will hammer each other. what size tank do u have, and which angels are you thinking of?

    i am looking at keeping a flame angel and a potters angel together. they are both dwarf angels..
    my system is 250L and has plenty LR to hide in. its also well established.

    two lovely angels there, especially the potters:)

    the flame can be a little more aggresive.

    i am not certain on minimal tank size for the flame so i am going to let more knowledgeable guys answer:)

    also have u looked at the lemon peel angel, i think dory had one in, its a stunner of a fish:)

    Fey Furbz. As long as there is enough of caves and crevices, by all means, put the fish in.

    Flame Angels minimum tank size is 30 gallons, according to most sites i read up on. They are awesome fish. Got one myself last week, he's a bit cowardly though and gets bullied by my bicolor blenny some times.

    Mekaeel would a 200L tank be big enough for 2 dwarf angels?

    awesome to hear that! thanx guys. as for dory, i am getting both of them from there 2day! the lemonpeel is beautiful. nearly bought it last week, but decided i have to much yellow in my tank. maybe next time tho!

    Cool, been thinking of getting a pygmy at some later stage. My fear is that its smaller than the flame and would get bullied.

    i have read that to. any one with experience want to help out here?
    i ave read a flame angel will bully a smaller angel of any species

    I am in almost the same situation ...I currently have a coral beauty and I have a flame on order .. i really want the flame .. from all the advice I got .. it can work but there will be an initial issue ???

    if i got the flame with others, i would def sump him a while (2-4 weeks) and let the others establish teritory first, then intoduce him

    I have been waiting for a few weeks for myne .. this will definately be the last fish I am adding unitl I am done with their new home ...

    Furbz the Flame is just something else and the potters is just a beautiful one aswell .....

    Hi Guys,

    Mekaeel is the one to ask. I have a 300 lt DT. I started with a juvenile Coral Beauty in November last year. Two weeks ago I purchased an adult Rusty Angel who, causing much stress, hid away for about 5 days. I thaen bought a Flame Angel who on the first evening was chased around by the Coral Beauty, flushing out the Rusty in the process. Since Friday last week calm has returned and the 3 Angels are living in relative harmony. I too have plenty of hiding places for the Angels.

    Lemon peel angels can be coral nippers. If you introduce them together it will be a whole lot better than introducing them after one another.

    Every angel has a chance of nipping corals, some more than others. Like an emperor is way more prone to nipping than a flame. it also depends on individual character
