Has anyone here kept a pair of flagtail pipefish? I would love to setup a small species only tank to keep a pair of these and would like to find out your experiences. any info would be appreciated.

    hi ziyaadb

i have a 3ft tank with dragon pipefish, the secret is live food to start, you need to have at least 3 brineshrimp hatcheries going for redundancy if one should crash, also a good pod hatchery. i then take a litre of water from the brine and drip it thru out the day into the tank. i also heavily skim and filter the water. i feed every other day or 3rd day depending on how much live there is still in the dt

I had a pair for 18 months ( their lifespan is short ) in my refuge , never fed them once as their diet is mostly pods which thrive in a densely packed refuge type tank with lots of macralgaes. Keep the flow low as they cant fight against strong currents well.
