    hey all,

i am going to be in KZN during the above times, is there anyone that can help by telling me what to expect around the end of May/ beginning June.

i will not be braving the open ocean  just rock pools, so please help with species and spots to snorkel.

    thanks

    You will see:
    convicts, dussumeris, nigrofuscus tangs
lots of bland aggressive local damsels
millions of black tails - horrible critters (when diving vechies they swarm over the area you are trying to catch in obscuring your view and chasing away what you are after)
lunulas, the occasional vagabond and auriga butterfly
the odd long nose puffer and evil eye toby
a rare striatus angel or two
    flagtails
lots of nebulosis wrasse, checkerboards and lunare, common striped coris

    thanks Africa Offroad,

i was on the coast this past week-end, manage to get 2 small lions which are in my frag tank with the help of a kind guy from Richards bay.

he gave me some pointers on poking around in the rock pool but unfortunately didn't get a chance to try.

i've seen a lot of Convicts, blacktails and a few wrasses around.

i am planning a mixed reef since i lost all my fish this past week-end.

    so a shoal of convicts,
    some butterflies

will see what else i can get at the coast.
