    Ha Ha Ha Thanx Guys

I'm not going the skimmerless route. Just saving up for one and looking for bargains. ;)

Currently there is almost no bio-load to skim

For now i think the lights will do fine

    2x white
    2x blue
    2x Actinic

    All T5 12000k

I plan on keeping mostly softies in the tank and maybe a few nennies. I will be adding some more LR over the weekend as well as building a Refugium as an additional filter.

I love playing with the tank, feels so fun doing DIY stuff and having a few :peroni: as an excuse for the "hard work"

    Welcome.
Looking good, nice idea with the switches, just be careful that no-one bumps them off by accident - or children play with them.
Are you going to use that sump as it is in the photos ? if so I dont think a skimmer will fit in those small left and right compartments, either modify or go for external skimmer.
Good luck and enjoy the journy, it's fun.

@ Neo - I was planning on either removing the first pane of glass to see what space is created. If that doesnt work ill maybe add a box/ something next to it and plumb it to the sump.

As for the switches i flippen dig them i feel like a fighter pilot when switching on and off. Lucky for me i dont have any kids and everybody knows :nono: touching my tank

    Very welcome.
If your tank or sump crack it might be that you did not use styrofoam underneath it.

    Yes, welcome.

See the hermits are all over.

Anyway, your return line is to low in the tank. Power goes out, and you could flood your sump. Or do you have a syphon break hole?

I honestly found that out the hard way:whistling:

I made a hole in the return pipe so that it doesnt syphon everything back.

Thanx for all the info last night Riaan and the :peroni:
