How long is a few months? 2,3,5,6? I had a few inverts like the ghost shrimp & cousion stars that lived in my tank for just a little longer than a year & who knows how old it was when I caught it. So as for that theory I'm not sure.;)
 
That is one of the reasons that the snails collected in California as nassarius snails are not that good for our tanks. They are not really tropical. And they do not survive as long as other snails.
 
Well it's update time. My tank hit 4 months and things are going god.I've added quite a few frags and things are going well.here's some pics I took yesterday.
