with test kits that are out there to test ph, alkalinity ect,
could a test kit for a saltwater pool be used for a saltwater tank
just to test the ph and alkalinity???

thanx warr, i thought that the make up of these kits were specific to

reason for this is cause my cousin has a saltwater pool and he uses the HTH test kits
for his pool and i questioned myself if it would be possible to use for our tanks

Done it plenty times, and have it done it in vice versa on my pool.

Funny enough the HTH pH test kit are quite accurate, but their Alk test are just not as easy to use as a TM /Seachem kit.

pH is pH regardless of the Specific Gravity of the liquid.

You could use the kit on your pee even

I have used the solutions. The strips are when things get really dodgy
