So, the nano only lasted 2 months until I decided it was too small.
So picked up a 1200x600x600 tank with skinny overflow.
The tank and stand needs some good TLC so I'm going to be busy for a few weeks.
Equipment I have thus far:
Zetlight ZT6600
BM curve 5 skimmer
2x 300w heaters
STC controller
Still need to get a filter sock and a return pump then I will be all set.
So onto some pics, jumped out of bed early and got to work

2nd coat will go on soon, as well as the cabinet

Thanks for watching

I've run into a small issue.
Seems like my glass is bulging when the tank is full of water, did a freshwater test this weekend to check if all is in order.
So width of the tank is 600mm, when willed with water the dimension in the middle goes to 604mm. Would this be reason for concern? Should I add braces around the rim?

So this is how she stands now, water being made and hopefully by Friday night all my livestock would have been transferred over.

How thick is your glass?for rimless in ur size tank you will need at least 12mm thick glass

@4age, honestly I'm not sure. I will measure tonight. I bought the tank used and it was running for a year or so.
Should I add a centre brace?

If the tank was running for a year then it should be OK.

Had you ever checked a standard Daro 3 footer and how much it bows out when full.

Ok, so tank is up and running.
Transferred all my live stock on Saturday Night, and everything seems to be doing good.
Braces I added are holding the tank nicely, not even 1mm bow now.
I'll take some picks tonight, but damn, this tank looks so empty with the stuff transferred from my nano.

Some pics.
Still a lot of work needs to be done this week.
Cabinet needs to be completed, I need more flow, and I can't decide on a background color. I'm going to stick blue on and have it there for a week and see if I like it.
