Compare contact time and airflow between the two that will tell you the answer you seek.

Look at the air intake the skimmer that haves the most air intake is the best

Then again, reef octo have been in the game far longer and you are only looking at 20lph or air. I would keep the Reef Octo

It's not only airflow , it's contact time too get that info before you make a decision based on one value and a brand. Even great brands release a sub product some times.

there is much more to skimmers than just airflow.
IMPO theres much of muchness between these 2 skimmers and i think they would both perform about the same. Keep the one u like

@CarlosF, which reef octo xp2000 do you have. The internal pump space saver, the external pump unit or the recirculating (red boxed bottom one) ?

@CarlosF in the end of your analysis and you determine that both skimmers are on par with each other. Which one would you sell?

My input would be the one with the best potential market brand, meaning potentially two things that are advantages for you.
    1) Quick sale (Demand)
    2) Potentially higher resale price?

I'll go for the one that's got a bigger inner diameter from the neck of the skimmer and collection cup, as the pump draw all most the same air intake.

mmm tricky, I would do the following in this scenario..

Put both up for sale and simular prices and see which one attracts interest 1st.. then keep the second one :)
