    i have the SK-2 and its really quite but cant comment on the performance cause ive only had it for 2 days in my tank

    yeah they are very good looking, just hope they will skim well!

    In my new tank(setup 3 days ago) it pulls out lots of crap so yeah

    Id say OK but i would prefer a Reef octopus to the same value.

    In terms of build quaility the reef octopus cannot touch it. The JNS guys know how to work on acrylic.
    The skimmers run on sicce pumps so they are quiet efficient.

    JNS Do have some nice styles and are built well, no doubt.

    Here is a interesting read that made me Reconsider getting one.

    jns or reef octopus skimmer?

    Didn want to complicate things on the thread as its about the jns skimmer performance.

    I know was contemplating too, but we all make a big hooha about skimmer performance when they are all basically the same (well, all the big names at least).
