Please excuse the crappy pic. Using little camera last night. :012:
Anyway is this starfish reefsafe ? How do you know if a starfish is reefsafe. We all know the crown of thorns would love to live in Alan's or Anthonys tank as it would be an instant buffet ;)

smithers , give us some specs of your system if uve not already done it pls !!!

I really wouldn't like to say yes or no, just keep an eye on him.

When I put him in the tank he was next to some star polyps. After he moved away they were still there. Maybe he was just getting warmed up for the main feast today ?

Smithy if its the same species, they look the same, they are sold up here as reef safe. Adam had a truck load full of them in his shop, he kept them in his coral beds.

Ok Cool. Makes me feel more at ease. They really are quite nice. The girlfriend loves the starfish. She has claimed it as her own now. Least she is getting involved in the tank.

Its a type of Fromia starfish. Will be reefsafe, but they are highly variable ito hardiness. Need large mature reef if possible.

Good luck hope its an easy one.
