Is this Majano?

    So these guys (3 of them) were tucked away between my zoa's and i assumed they were paly's but this morning they were fully opened and are looking more like majano's, can somebody confirm?

    Not majano, some kind of anemone. I also have one on my one zoa rock. I think they are fairly harmless

    Well like they say if ure unsure KILL IT. I have a paly zoa issue where they are overgrowing my ice cap zoas on one rock. One option is too scrape them off another idea is to try aiptasia x lol

    As Martin said, it's definitely not a majano. But they are really pretty! The easiest way to see if they are harmful is to look at the zoas/palys around them. If they are closed and looking unhappy, it's not a good thing, but if they are fully open, then it's not harmful. My Zoas close if there is a majano or aiptasia next to them.

    nope, everybody very happy, had this rock for a while now. ok good, so it's definitely not majano! thanks guys :thumbup:

    I'll get it on a piece of rock for you. Do you think we could meet in sandton sometime this week for my zoa's, not getting a chance to come out to you?

    lol those are actually a different type of zoa, they are harmless and look pretty awesome under artinic and blue lights.
    I know them as rock pool zoas, but dont know whats the other proper name...

    Sweet, tomorrow morning after 9:30? it's the purple from WOP and the yellow short tentacle....
